How to Protect Your Vehicle Battery in Winter Weather

Winter weather takes a toll on your overall vehicle. From potential paint and rust issues due to road icing, to hazardous driving conditions, winter is not vehicle friendly. One of the most common immediate issues for winter weather is when batteries are too weak to start your car. Here are some tips on keeping your car running.

Test your battery for strength. Knowing how strong your battery is before winter begins is half the battle. The strongest battery will struggle. If your battery is weak, consider a new one. Keep your car in a warm area if possible. The warmer it is where you park, the less you're asking your battery to do. Cold temperatures weaken the chemical make-up of your battery.

If you need to test your battery, or know you need to replace your old, bring it in to our dealership and we'll help protect your winter battery life.
